What sets me apart? “He’s extremely precise, incredibly reliable, and—quiet,” say my clients.

With a team of professionals, I work for my clients in my 450-square-meter studio near Stuttgart or anywhere in the world.

So far, I’ve called my exhibitions “Lookbooks” and my posters “Campaigns.” I’ve worked for fashion brands like Hugo Boss, Baldessarini, Riani, and Rich & Royal, as well as hotel chains, breweries, and other well-known brands. I’ve been doing this as a freelancer since 2005 in a 450-square-meter studio just a stone’s throw from Stuttgart Airport.
I was born on January 16, 1982, in Kempten. That’s in the Allgäu region. And the reason why an Allgäu native—someone who’s actually close to nature—discovered the world of fashion is probably because he spent his formative years apprenticing under a master of sports fashion photography, where he likely found his lifelong photographic love for absolute precision.
In 2022, “lookbooks” became exhibitions. “Campaigns” became exhibition posters. And photo series became his first book: Ordinary People. In 2023, another book followed, documenting daily life at a psychosomatic clinic in the Allgäu region.
Bernhard Frei lives and works in Berlin, Stuttgart, and Lenningen in the Swabian Alb.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, my two daughters, and my dog Lola, or traveling around Northern Europe.
I am also a member of FREIVONRASSISMUS.
