Her charm, creativity, and knowledge of wine are impressive. She knows how to bring people together through wine. Her passion is palpable.
Even on my very first visit to her restaurant, I noticed her special charisma.

I was fascinated. Her love for her profession and for her mare Kassandra is deep and sincere.
In the morning, she first tends to Kassandra, feeding her fresh carrots and bananas. Then her day begins—full of joy. Whether taking a walk in the Wadden Sea, enjoying breakfast, or preparing for the day at the restaurant—Bärbel savors every moment. Her zest for life is contagious.

Her first book is titled “WEIN sonst nix” (Wine and Nothing Else). A great title for a great book, but it doesn’t fully capture who Bärbel is. She is so much more. A small sticker on her laptop reading “Alpacas Against Nazis” immediately made her stance clear. She is not only an outstanding sommelier but also a strong personality. With her colorful clothes, her expertise, and her charisma, Bärbel wins people over.
